ABOUT US

Siyafunda Adult Basic Education Centre (SABEC) is a Non Profit Organisation Registration No: 030-546NPO, section 21 company (2007/028813/08). The Organisation was established in 2002 with the purpose of providing ABET, HIV/AIDS programmes to the previously disadvantaged communities in Gauteng and surrounding provinces. SABEC is based in Orange Farm, 40km South of Johannesburg. We have been very successful in providing different programmes to various communities for the passed eight years and we continue making difference and positive impact in the lives of the previously disadvantaged individuals.

To achieve our purpose of existence, we are committed to the following:

• Being effective and efficient in delivering our services.
• Striving to exceeding the expectation of our clients.

SABEC has successfully conducted ABET levels 1 - 4 for the Department of Justice/SASSETA nationally as well as having completed DoL I/Project Literacy ABET levels 1 - 4 successfully with 80% IEB pass rate..

SABEC is working with among others PROJECT LITERACY, an Organisation that has a reputation with regard to ABET strategies.

Funding

Siyafunda Adult Basic Education Centre (SABEC) is a registered NGO (2007/028813/08), fund raising number (NPO030-546) and therefore relies on donations to continue with the programmes aimed at assisting the communities, projects that helps fighting against illiteracy and poverty in poor and rural communities. The organization is unable to pay for a number of trainings that are essential and of value. Siyafunda also operates as a section 21 Company.

The financial and advisory support is crucial to our success in delivering quality education and training to those South Africans who experienced deprivation educationally in the past.
